One of John and Nancy's sons was named Joseph, one John, one Hutson J., one William M., one David, my gggftr and we've yet to identify the names of the other two and three of the four daughters. Hutson was born in KY in 1823....John seems to be the oldest, then Joseph, and then Hutson J.
Hutson J. went to TX and was hanged along in Cooke County, around Gainsville, along with a whole bunch of other men for being Yankee sympathizers. The account of "The Great Hangings of Texas" is told in a book, the name of which escapes me at the moment. It's "Tainted Dove" I think and is and is not that old and is still in print. He dropped an "s" and is responsible for all the Esman families in TX except one, some 11 or 12 of them, the only Esman's I've found anywhere in the country.
