KORTLEVER, Hugo, age 79 years, of Lynden, passed away at his home Thursday, June 16, (1955) following a lingering illness. He had resided in Lynden for the past 56 years and was a member of the First Christian Reformed Church. He is survived by his wife, Martha; five sons, John H., Raymond B., both of Lynden, Carl M. of Everson, Marshall F., of Hillsboro, Ore., Victor E., of Seattle; one sister, Maggie Pen of Lynden; one brother, John C., Long Beach, Calif.; 25 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, June 18, at 2 p.m. from the First Christian Reformed Church in Lynden with the Rev. F. Van Houten officiating. Interment in Monumenta Cemetery under the direction of the Gillies Funeral Home in Lynden.
