QUAY 3 "On Saturday, September 27, death took a long time resident of this district in the person of Mr. Hugh McDermott, who died at his residence, 85Penetang Street, at the ripe age of 86 years. He had bee n ill only a week. Mr. McDermott lived nearly his whole life in Canada, having come over from Ireland when only a young lad. He had resided in Orillia for the last 10 years. He was married twice . His second wife survives, and three sons, Hugh of Saskatchewan, Ralph of Detroit, Frank, recently returned from overseas with the American Expeditionary Force, and two daughters, Mrs. James Milliga n, Orillia, and Mrs. Peter Cox, Uptergrove.
