    Hugh Brady was a native son of Ireland who with his wife, Hannah McCormick Brady, of Scottish descent, arrived in America in 1732. He was granted 200 acres in 1744-45 along the Conodoguinet Creek, Hopewell Twp., in Cumberland Co.,PA. They built a log home there and raised seven sons and two daughters.
