26 Jun 1913 Howard Honner and family drove up from Wenatchee to be at the old settler's meeting. Howard was one of the earliest settlers in this part of the country, coming here in September, 1883. He settled on a claim adjoining the A. L. Rogers ranch just south of town, but was a bachelor in those days and Al says, very shy about the women. He now has a family of three and is located in the Wenatchee Valley. [Big Bend Empire]
