    BOAL, Horton J., former manager of the state liquor store in Fairhaven, died Saturday in a Bellingham nursing home. He was 69. Private graveside services for the family will be held, with arrangements by Jones Funeral Home. Boal, of 2010 Huron St., was born March 5, 1920, in Greeley, Colo. He served in the Army during World War II and was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Bellingham. He is survived by his wife Etta of the family home; two daughters, Patricia A. Jones of Bainbridge Island and Cheryl Boal of Bellingham; a son William Cody Boal II of Grants Pass, Ore.; a sister, Virgie Hayden of Bellingham; and three grandchildren.
