    Funeral will be 10 a.m. Monday at the First Baptist Church for Holmes P. Scott, 81, 802 North Third who died Sunday, March 20, 1983, at a local hospital. The Reverend Gerald Tidwell will officiate, with burial in the Highland Cemetery.

    Scott, born on May 30, 1901 in Plano, Texas, lived most of his life in Bryan County. He was a retired employee of the Oklahoma Tax Commission. Scott was a member of the First Baptist Church, Durant Masonic Lodge No. 45, a 32nd degree Mason, a past member of the Durant Lodge, past patron of Durant Eastern Star and member of the Hatchett Sunday School Class.

    He was married December 12, 1920 in Denison, Texas to Vera Lindley, who survives. Also surviving is a daughter Betty Ramazetti, Houston; brother Glenn Scott, Heavener; and two sisters, Mrs. Lois Byrns, Durant, and Mrs. Vivian Fisher, Mena, Arkansas. Bearers will include James Lyles; Aubrey Griffith, Rector Swearengin, Willis Hall, Dewey Loper, Jerry Polson and Sam Pool. Murray Funeral Home is handling service arrangements.
