Hiram Yeatman was born on 30 May 1812, in Christiana, New Castle, Delaware, United States, his father, Thomas Yeatman, was 46 and his mother, Sarah Beeson, was 36. He married Sarah Paulina Spalding on 15 February 1838, in Carthage Township, Hancock, Illinois, United States. They were the parents of at least 4 sons and 3 daughters. He lived in Black River, Sheboygan, Wisconsin, United States in 1850 and Albion, Jackson, Wisconsin, United States in 1880. He died on 19 December 1890, in Black River Falls, Jackson, Wisconsin, United States, at the age of 78, and was buried in Farmington Cemetery, Mindoro, La Crosse, Wisconsin, United States.
