Funeral services were held on Monday for the late Mrs. G. E. Dyksterhuis who passed away at her home in Lynden suddenly on Friday, (April 28, 1922). Rev. P. Jonker conducted the services. Hilda Grommers was born in Holland May 10, 1863, and in 1884 she came to America, settling in South Dakota, where she was married to Mr. G. E. Dyksterhuis Dec. 31, 1886. To them six children were born, all of whom are living. Nineteen years ago, they came to Lynden, where they have made their home since. Mrs. Dyksterhuis was beloved and respected in all circles, and she will be missed in the community. She leaves to mourn her loss her husband, three sons, Jacob, Bert and Abel Dyksterhuis, three daughters, Mrs. Sip Heimstra, Mrs. Peter Meenderinck, and Mrs. Albert Mulder, all of Lynden; and two brothers, one sister and eleven grandchildren.
