Hilda's death is mentioned in an affidavit (by her brother Walter) found in her husband Ernest's probate records: "THAT my said sister died at Queen Mary’s Hospital Newport in the District of Isle of Wight England on the 19th day of April, 1947, and that there was no issue of such first marriage."
