    (3) Hetty Tallman was born in February of 1821. She married Harvey Harry Hardy of Depeyster, St. Lawrence Co, NY, in Oswegatchie, at the home of J.D. Hutchinson, 24 March 1847 (by Rev. Harvey Miles). They lived their entire married lives in DePeyster where Harvey was a farmer and Hetty also the Justice of the Peace. They had no children of their own, but adopted their niece Emma P. Gilbert (daughter of Harvey‟s sister Caroline and her husband Lyman Gilbert). Emma was born in May of 1850 in DeKalb, St. Lawrence Co, NY. She was with Harvey and Hetty by the 1860 census. Harvey died 8 January 1888 and is buried in Purmont Cemetery, DePeyster. Emma married Traton Stammer in 1887. They had a dairy farm in DePeyster. They had no children. Hetty lived with them until her death on the 21st of May 1912 at 91 years and 9 months. She is also buried in Purmont Cemetery. Traton Stammer died in 1916 and Emma in 1926 and both are buried in Purmont Cemetery.
