Hester Stockbridge, bp. Scituate 11 July 1647 [NEHGR 57:83]; The terms of her father's will indicate that she was incompetent; living on 30 May 1685, when the reference was made, in the division of the estate of her brother Charles, of "a reversion in a house & land in Scituate, now belonging to Hester Stockbridge" [PCR 6:157]; possibly living on 26 July 1687, when "Benjamin Singletery with the full consent, approbation and free will of Mary my wife the natural daughter of … John Stockbridge" deeded to "Joseph Woodworth of Scituate … all my right, title and interest of land which I have in reversion at Situate … which is part of an estate of land which was given by John Stockbridge of Situate for the maintenance of his daughter Esther & at her decease to be divided equally among the children of the aforesaid John Stockbridge" [PLR 3:15].
