Identity

This person has been confused with another Hester Nash, born around the same time and also living in Anne Arundel County. However, they are clearly different people because they have separate records in the 1900 and 1910 censuses. I could not find information online to clearly indicate which was the daughter of Levin and Charlotte (Smith) Nash. However, the wife of James Edwards was in the same election district (election district 3, apparently in a rural area) in the 1900 to 1920 censuses as Levin and Charlotte (Smith) Nash were in the 1880 census, and so I have assumed that she was their daughter.--DataAnalyst 13:24, 23 August 2019 (UTC)

Note that the Social Security Applications and Claims Index for her son Melvin gives her name as Hester A Richardson. It is possible that Richardson was a subsequent married name - or maybe she wasn't Hester Nash after all.--DataAnalyst 13:56, 23 August 2019 (UTC)
