Herbert H Renwick

Well Known And Respected Resident of Mayfield Township For Many Tears Pass Away On Wednesday In Height Of Usefulness.

Herbert H. Renwick, of the well known family of DeKalb county pioneers, a respected citizen and successful farmer, died at his home in Mayfield township on Wednesday of Bright's disease.

Herbert H. Renwick was a son of George and Mary (Young) Renwick, and was born in Mayfield on March 8, 1870.

On April 5, 1894, he was united in marriage to Miss Jennie E. Remala, who survives with their four children aged from 10 to 19 years. There are also surviving Mr. Renwick's four brothers.

Mr. Renwick had held the office of possessor and other positions of public trust. He was a member of the Congregational church.

The funeral services were held at the home on this Friday afternoon, and the interment was in the family lot in Wesleyan cemetery, Mayfield.

[Note that the Wesleyan cemetery was also known as Bush Point, and today is known as the Mayfield Cemetery.]
