This Henry Whitney is often erroneously shown m. Hannah Tombs. See S2 for explanation why this is incorrect, even though it is so presented in Bond's Watertown and many other sources.

    Since this Henry was not mentioned in the distribution of his mother's estate, nor were any heirs of his, we must conclude that he d. without issue before 1790, and so could not be the Henry that m. Hannah Tombs, since those children (Benjamin, Elizabeth, and [William] Henry) are named as children of her grandson Henry, s/o Benjamin.
