Facts and Events
Henry mustered into the Union Army as a Private in Company G, 149th Infantry Regiment Pennsylvania Volunteers on 26 August 1862. He was wounded and died at a military hospital in Washington, D.C. Two of his five orphaned children were admitted to White Hall Soldier's Orphan School in Camp Hill, Pennsylvania (East Pennsboro at that time).
