  3. Both Source:Graves, Kenneth Vance. Thomas Graves, 1645 Settler of Hartford, Connecticut and Hatfield, Massachusetts and His Descendants, p. 61-62, and the derivative Source:Graves Family Assoication. Thomas Graves 1645 Settler of Hartford, Connecticut and Hatfield, Massachusetts and His Descendants have the same information, namely, showing twins Ezra and Henry. However, the actual VRs do not show twins. They show a birth for Ezra, and a baptism for Henry, neither with a sign of twins being involved. Since Ezra gets married, has children, and appears in the 1850 and 1860 census in Champlain, NY, it appears recording the baptism as Henry was an error by the church clerk or a mistranscription. No evidence that a distinct son named Henry existed has been found (no probate for the father seems to be on file, no death date, no marriage, no children). We are limited by not having the original church record, but there is no obvious indication that either of the Graves sources used anything more than the Athol VRs.
