POSSIBLE MARRIAGE: from The Village Messenger, Fayetteville, Tennessee, Vol. 3, No. 34, December 20, 1826:

Evelyn Canning has another Message No. 466 on the Hannah GenForum pertaining to the Message No. 463.

Charles E. Carroll had the following Message No. 17238 on the Smith GenForum, April 16, 2000. "Need family information on Henry Smith of Randolph Co., MO. Married to Mary Hannah in 1826 Lincoln Co., TN." His posting history did not have anything after 2001, so I did a search and found some up-to-date postings for him. I posted a message to him on the Hannah GenForum and received the following back from him. "I have not done anymore research on Henry Smith and Mary Hannah. All I have is her parents Andrew Hannah and Margaret Patton. Both died in Randolph Co. Mary reportedly died shortly after her marriage. Somthing else to "muddy" the waters. Evelyn Canning has Message No. 463 on the Hannah GenForum which says in part: Randolph Co., MO Probate Records, Book A, p. 126, Sept. 1839, FHL#0975169, Item 329, "The Court appoint Henry Smith guardian of Margaret Ann, Robert P., and Rhoda Emeline Hannah minors of Samuel Hannah deceased and thereupon he entered into bond with William Upton and Andrew Hannah his securities in the penalty of $300 conditioned according to law which is approved by the court."

   The Rusk County Historical Society has papers from Union County, South Carolina with extracts of wills and deeds. In those papers is found the following (along with her deceased husband, David Smith's will):
   
   In 1817 is a deed from Beersheba Lusk to "My sons" James Smith & Henry Smith for their portions in Estate of their father, David Smith "Which I forfeited when I married."

   Barsheba Harrington Smith Lusk deed to her children names James & Henry as her children as found in The Rusk County Historical Society papers from Union County, South Carolina with extracts of wills and deeds.
