    Note that it appears that he was born shortly before his parents were married.

    This census gives the birth month as April for both his parents as well, which suggests a possibly fabrication. If so, it may have been to downplay the fact that he was born before his parents were married - if, in fact, the birth date on his death certificate is accurate.
