Notes from Joyce Kroninger: San Francisco has no records prior to 1905 because of the Earthquake and fire.  Therefore, no birth 'certificate' can be issued. After divorce from Fay, Harry never remarried.  Some records have been found with the name "Henry" Meyer Marcuse Jr.  However, some military records say Henry & some say Harry.... His Social Security records are under the name of Harry.  I am sure that his birth name was probably Henry jr, but I never heard my grandfather refered to by the name of Henry.
