    Henry A. Head was born at Alfred, Allegany Co., N. Y., January 4, 1837.
    He was the youngest son of Solomon and Sarah Coon Head. He came West with his parents in company with Joseph Goodrich to Milton, Wis., and moved to Albion in 1843. He became a Christian in early life, and united with the Albion Seventh Day Baptist Church. He was united in marriage to Mary M. Holnbeck, who preceded him to the glory land by about five months. Their two children survive them, Dr. Merton Head, of Albert Lea, Minn., and Mrs. Matie Williams, of Albion, Wis. He was a veteran of the Civil War. C. S. S.
