HENRY GREEN, 1726-1797. HENRY GREEN, son of Francis and Elizabeth (Wheeler) Green, was born February 24, 1726, at "Green's Inheritance." He removed to the Deer Creek settlement in Baltimore County, and there he married Elizabeth, the widow of David Thomas, sometime after September 20, 1746 and before July 2, 1748, when he and Elizabeth his wife filed an account upon the estate of David Thomas, late of Baltimore County, deceased.
On July 11, 1768, he and his wife Elizabeth sold to David Thomas, the son and heir of the said Elizabeth Green, for L150 a 200-acre portion of "the Three Sisters," which had been brought by David Thomas, the deceased father of the said grantee, from Isaac Butterworth.
Children of Henry and Elizabeth Green - 1. Ann Green married Bennett Bussey. 2. [Son], predeceased his father.
By his will which was proved in Harford County on May 16, 1797, having been made on April 10, 1795, he devised his dwelling-plantation to his daughter, Ann wife of Bennett Bussey. Realty, Negroes and other personalty were willed to the following grand-children - Mary wife of Henry Cooper, Jr., Elizabeth Green, Martha Green, Sarah Green, and Susannah Green. Bennett Green and Henry Cooper, Jr., were named as executors.
