Obituary - On Friday, Oct 9th, occurred the death of Henry Gokey, of Rouses Point NY, at the Fanny Allen Hospital, Burlington, where he he had but a few hours previous undergone a serious operation for stomach trouble. Mr. Gokey had been ailing for a long time but had been confined to his room only a few days and on Wednesday was taken to the hospital where all efforts were made to resttore his health, but being in such a weakened condition he was beyond medical aid and at five o' clock pm passed quickly away. The remains were brought to his stricken home on Saturday monring. The funeral was held at St. Mary's church Monday at 10 o'clock. Internment was also in the family plot in Champlain. Mr. Gokey was in his sixty-sixth year. He leaves to mourn his loss a wife, three sons and one daughter. Amonmg the floral offerings was a pillow and wreath from the family and other wreaths and crosses from friends and relatives to attest the esteem in which he was held. The ball bearers were George, John and Bert Gokey, David Muire, Napoleon Charbonneau and George Trombly.
