"This Hendrik J Stadt was a bro to gr grfather Thys Stadt see Jan Thys Stad and Roelofje Hendriks Dekker who were their parents. Both grandfathers had the name Jan both Jan came to the USA were called big Jan little Jan or John.

Jan, Jan, Roelofje, Geertje, and Thijs came all to the US between 1860-1870 settled in Michigan Gr Rapids in Iowa and Washington and in California. Lena van den Bosch md a Prof in Theology in Grand Rapids she has helped me much to help to find this people who are all of the Reformed Church and belong to Hendrick Winkel Sr. mother's line, Roelofje Stadt."
