Henderson Hart & W. H. Brafford to Katherine Knight - 25 acres
"This indenture made & entered into this the 2nd day of March 1870 between Henderson Hart & W. H. Brafford of the county of Knox & state of KY of the first & Katherine Night of the county & state aforesaid sold to the said Knight, twenty five acres of land for the sum of one hundred dollars, the receipt of the purchase money here acknowledged. The said land lying & being in the county of Knox and state of KY on the waters of Young's Creek & bounded as follows, to wit, beginning at a Popular, 465 poles E to William Tankersley comes there a Chestnut Oak, thence S 86 poles with Bonuff's line to William Harts comes a white oak, thence W 46 poles to a small black oak, thence 86 poles along a line mark of Henderson Heart & Katharine Knight's to the beginning. To have & to hold & the party of the first do grant & bargain & convey unto the said Knight and her heirs all the appertenances belonging to the said Knight. The said Hart & Brafford binds themselves & heirs & do relinquish all their right and title in said land to the said Knight to hold & to have forever & said whatsoever. Given under our hands this above day and date.

I, John H. Davis, Clerk of the County Court of the county aforesaid, do certify that this deed from Henderson Hart & W. H. Brafford the grantors, (to wit,) the said Hart on the 27nd April 1870 & by W. H. Brafford on the 1st Sep 1870 to be their act and deed for the uses and purposes herein contained and being duly stamped as required by act of Congress is together with this Certificate duly recorded in my office this 2nd day Sept 1870.
