Albert Stevense van Voorhees; born circa 1654 at Drenthe, Netherlands; married first Helletje Reiniers Wizzelpenning daughter of Reynier Wizzelpenning and Jannetje Snedeker, 24 Apr 1681 at Ref. Ch., Flatbush, Kings Co., NY; He is listed as Albert Stephensz, young man from Ruinen in Drenthe and she as Jelletje Reiniers Wizzel-penning, young lady from Middleburg in this country; married second Magdelena van der Schueren, daughter of William van der Schuur and Grietje Platenburg, circa 1691; died after 1727. Albert Stevense "Voohys" and his wife Jelleties Reyniers Wisselpenninck are listed as members of the Hackensack Ref. Ch. in 1686. In the will of his brother-in-law, John Kiersen, dated 1705, he is listed as Albert "Stevensen." ["Holland Society Collection," 1891, pg. 1.]
