Obituary - MISS HAZEL INEZ CHRISTOPHER
MISS CHRISTOPHER DIES TUESDAY FOLLOWING INJURIES.
Miss Hazel InezChristopher, 75, prominent resident of Montezuma, died at 8:30 am Tuesday at aMontezuma hospital after having been struck by as car the previous evening onNorth Dooly Street near her home.
Funeral serviceswill be held at 3 o'clock this afternoon [Wednesday] at the Montezuma MethodistChurch . The Rev. Sam Douthit and the Rev. C. G. Ward will officiate andinterment will be in FELTON CEMETERY with Watson-Mathews Funeral Home incharge.

Miss Christopherwas born at Arabi, Ga., on July 22, 1890, the daughter of the late W. T. andCora Smith Christopher, and had lived most of her life in Montezuma. She was aretired school teacher, having taught for many years at Valdosta and later inthe local schools. She was a member of the Montezuma Methodist Church, theW.S.C.S. and the Montezuma Woman's Club.
Survivors include one brother, W. T. Christopher of Montezuma; a sister, Mrs.J. W. Hale of Wilmington, N.C,.; three nieces, Mrs. Charles Watson of Atlanta,Miss Mary Hale of Wilmington, N.C. and Mrs. James Jay of Hampton, Va.; twonephews, Robert C. Collins of Augusta and Paul W. Collins of Orlando, Fla.
