The census records support the idea that Harvey Goldsborough became Harry Ellis. His age was consistent with a birth year of 1878 or 1879 and he was born in Delaware in census records from 1880 to 1950. His war draft records and death record (all under the name Harry Ellis) show the same birth month - June 1878 - as the 1900 census when he was using the name Harvey Goldsborough. This tree also points to a newspaper article from 1911 saying that Harvey Goldsborough had skipped bail in Grand Junction, Colorado, suggesting that this might have been a reason for him to change his name.
