↑ He is named between John and Levi in his father's will, and presuming he is the Harvey Gale found in New Salem in the 1820 census, he was 18-25 so born between 1795 and 1802. He might be the Harvey Gale who died in Vermont in 1840 at age 43, (gravestone), which would make his birth about 1797. (If so, he appears married with children in 1830 and 1840, but nothing is known of those.)
