Vol. Cav., served two years and three months. Six months of the time in Andersonville prison."
"In 1869 he settled in Grundy County, Mo., where he builded him a home" - it's really worded that way - "and on February 11, 1872 he was married to Mary Schooler, to this union was born four children David, Charles, Mrs. Clara Montgomery and Lee. The first two named died in infancy. He joined Liberty Post No. 150 Dept of Mo., G.A.R. March 12, 1884. Some sixteen years ago he joined the Christian Church. He was a member of the masonic order.
