The following was forwared to me by Kathy Shiell

Harry Hilson isknow to be a cousin of William Hilson, but it has yet to be proven that he is Robert's son. I suspect that Harry's father and Williams father were likely close in age and selected Robert until it can be proven otherwise. Harry Hilson had a somewhat unsavory reputation in the Hilson clan and had been accused of rape around 1905. He was also suspected of being the person who raped Ella Hilson and may have been directly or indirectly responsible for her death.
