    Harry Kirk Coe, 1518 W. 28th , historian of the Kansas Senate, died at his home Thursday night.
    He was born in Barron, Wisc., the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. D. Octavius Coe, pioneers and philanthropists. His father founded the D.O. Coe Seed and Grain Co., later known as the Coe Seed Co. Harry Coe was president of the Coe Seed Co. until 1960.
    He attended Topeka schools and Kansas State University, where he was a member of Sigma Nu fraternity. He served in the army during World War I.
    Mr. Coe served as a director of Central National Bank and First National Bank of Topeka, Kansas Grain and Seed Dealers Assn. and was a member of Topeka Chamber of Commerce, Western Seed Dealers Assn., and Arab Shrine. He was a 32nd Degree Mason, and a life member of Topeka Consistory, Scottish Rite, and Siloam Lodge No.225, AF & AM.
    He was an honorary life member of Rotary Club of Topeka and was a member of Shawnee County Farm Bureau, American Legion Post No. 1, Topeka Country Club, and Grace Episcopal Cathedral.
    Since 1962, Mr. Coe had served as historian of the Kansas Senate. He was married to Maude Bell on May 6, 1925, in Topeka. She survives.
    Other survivors include a son, Douglas O. Coe, Denver. Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturda at Grace Episcopal Cathedral. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery. Mr. Coe will lie in rest at Penwell-Gable Funeral Home until noon Saturday.
