Facts and Events
Harry T. Blocker (called Hank) was the (president or vice president) of a branch of the York air conditioning company in New Jersey or New York, and was well-off financially. He was urbane, outgoing, charming and warm, with a great sense of humor and a wonderful singing voice. One story was that he was invited to the first sailing of the Queen Mary luxury ship, along with many famous and high-ranking people, and that he systematically turned the pictures on the wall slightly askew just for fun. He often took his family – his wife Mag and daughters Peggy and Cal -- to a beach house in Groton, CT, to spend their summers. References
