«i»Harriet Eve "Hattie" DeLapp, 70, died June 17, at Valley Health Care in Billings. She was born June 19, 1925, on the Williams Ranch on Lower Tongue River, to Ralph E. and Cora L. Williams DeLapp. She attended grade school in Havre, Mont., and Acme, and graduated from Sheridan High School. She attended the University of Wyoming. She worked for the heart associations of Wyoming, Texas and Nebraska, worked for a time at The Sheridan Press, then worked for the Regional Medical Program of Creighton University in Omaha. She was director of Continuing Medical Education at Creighton and assistant to the dean. She worked for Creighton for 22 years before retiring. After retirement, she moved back to Sheridan to the family ranch on Lower Tongue River. In Sheridan, she served on the Sheridan School District 2 Board, and was involved in the All American Indian Days in the 1960s. She was a member of the Sheridan County Cattlewomen, the Assistance League of Omaha, and Tri-Beta Sorority. She is survived by one sister, Dora Lupton of Sheridan; and three brothers, Ralph DeLapp Jr. of Fall River Mills, Calif., Neil Delapp of Kaycee, and Don DeLapp of Sheridan. Memorials services will be 10 a.m. Friday at Champion Funeral Home, with the Rev. Ted Tromble officiating. Memorials may benefit the Wyoming Heart Association in care of Delphine Toner at the First Interstate Bank of Commerce, Box 2007, Sheridan.«/i»
