HAROLD WHITE COLLINS
Harold W. Collins, 62, Dies of Heart Attack Saturday.
Harold White Collins, 62, prominent Montezumian, died unexpectedly, Saturday morning, September 16, 1961 at his residence here after suffering a heart attack.
A life long resident of Macon County, Mr. Collins attended the local schools and Oglethorpe University. He had been bus agent here for 15 years, also serving as Western Union operator during that time. He had also been the weather observer for this area for35 years and was recently recognized for his faithful service by the U.S. Weather Bureau.
Funeral services were conducted from the First Baptist Church here, of which he was a member. Sunday afternoon The Rev. C. G. Ward, Dr. B. E. Donehoo and the Rev. Ronald Hinson officiated and interment was in FELTON CEMETERY. Pallbearers - Not copied.
Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Pauline Hinson Collins; two sons, Robert C. Collins of Montezuma and Paul White Collins of Atlanta; one daughter, Mrs. Charles N. Watson of Atlanta; four grandchildren, Robert C. Collins, Jr. and Ralph Lee Collins of Montezuma; Paula and Charles C. Watson of Atlanta; and a number of other relatives.
Watson-Mathews Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
