Hardin and at least one of his sons & several grandchildren may be buried at Cedar Grove on the Current River, Dent Co., Missouri, Also reported he may be buried in Licking or possibly in Montauk State Park in Shannon Co., Missouri, or Montauk Cemetery, Dent County, Missouri

1850 Census shows Hardin Prewit, age 55, and wife Mary, age 55, and family residing in Reynolds, Reynolds County, Missouri.
