In Almond, N. Y., April 5th, 1868, Mrs. Hannah Sweet, relict of Eld. Spencer Sweet, in the 80th year of her age. Sister Sweet had from early life been a professor of religion. At the time of her death, and for many years previous, she had been a member of the First Seventh-day Baptist Church of Alfred. For many years Sister Sweet's prayer had been that when it pleased God to remove her from earth, her death might be sudden and while asleep; and so it was, for on going to call her for breakfast, she was found dead in her bed, with a countenance as composed as if she was quietly asleep. Thus gently passed from earth the spirit of this faithful servant of Christ. N. V. H.
