xiv. HANNAH, b. about 1717, d. about 1768, unm. Portsmouth.
She sued on a writ account in 1763, Samuel Waters Jr., and was a shopkeeper there. (N. H. Court Files, 7905.)
Her will is of much interest:
"In the name of God Amen the 4th of Nov 1767, I Hannah Remick of Portsmouth ... single Woman Shopkeeper ... do ... ordain this to be my last Will & Testament . . .
Item, I Give & bequeath to my Couzen Abigail Sherburne all my Goods Household Furniture of what kind so ever & all my Cash except these particular Goods hereafter named
Item, I Give to my Brother Nath Remick my large Bible, Which is all I allot to him
Item, I Give to my Cousen Sarah Lisen my Dark Coloured quilted Coat
Item, I Give to my Cousen Mary Staple one large silver spoon & four tea Spoons & one large Gold Ring
Item, I Give to my Cousin Hannah Cole two tea Spoons
Item, I Give to Hannah Remick Daughter of Wm. Remick two tea Spoons
Item, I Give to Couzen Jane Remick one gold Ring
Item, I Give to Mrs. Cole my best Apron
I appoint Mr. George Sherburne Shipwright to be Executor of this my will ...
