The identification of Benjamin Parsons and his wife Hannah as parents of Hannah Parsons is weak. Bartus Comegys C 1352 had provided a bond for Benjamin and Hannah Parsons when Hannah administered the estate of her first husband Holman Johnson. This establishes the two families as associates and probably neighbors and increases the probability that their children would know each other.

No marriage record of Hannah Parsons and Cornelius Comegys has been located. The reported birth date of their son Cornelius Parsons Comegys is after the father was married to Sophia Charlotte Brown, the fact of a marriage having taken place can be questioned.
