Will of Hannah Danforth, widow, late of Taunton, dated 26 Feb 1745, probated 24 Dec 1761, daughter Sarah Down, two daughters Marah & Bethia, grandchild Susannah Hodges, four daughters Sarah, Mary, Bethiah and Katherine, sons Samuel and Thomas, grandson James Danforth. Codicil dated 17 May 1750 names daughter Cobb [i.e., Katherine's second husband was Elijah Cobb]; granddaughter Abigail Danforth; three daughters of daughter Katherine, namely Susannah, Martha, and Rachel. Son in law Samuel Down of Boston appointed as guardian due to enfeebled state.Son Thomas Danforth of Norwich, CT, appointed administrator, succeeded by Job Smith husband of granddaughter Hannah Barney.
