Grover Joseph Benintendi, age 80, passed away at 7:50 p.m. on Sunday, June 24, 2001. at his home following an illness. Grover was born on February 20, 1921 in Granby, Mo. He was a member of the Royal Heights United Methodist Church. He worked for ICI, formerly Atlas Powder Company as an inventory and shipping supervisor. He served in the United States Army and was a veteran of World War II. He married Dorothy Perry on September 13, 1992 in Joplin, Mo. She survives. Additional survivors include two daughters, Carol Snow, Oklahoma City, Okla., and Gayle Benintendi, of the state of Arkansas; one stepson, Wayne Perry, Webb City, Mo.; one sister, Dollie Ragsdale, Paris, Mo.; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Mason-Woodard Mortuary. Randy Steel, minister, and Rev. Dan Lind will officiate. Burial will be in Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at Mason-Woodard Mortuary. Memorial contributions may be made to St. John's Hospice.
