Grace Bramley, daughter of Robert Bramley of Whitmore House in Bramley Head, Yorkshire. Christopher Bramley, probable grandfather of Grace, was imprisoned in the Castle of York for six months in 1655 for speaking to the priest of Usborne; also the same year, imprisoned seventeen months as a contemner of magistracy for asking "whether my persecutor could fear God." In 1656, he was set in the stocks for going to Meetings.[2]
