    Golden Rash, 81, of Caruthersville, died Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2008 at the Pemiscot Memorial Health Systems in Hayti.

    Born Sept. 11, 1926 in Caruthersville, she is the daughter of the late John Ghyers and Minnie Mosie Ghyers. She was also preceded in death by one son, James Edward Green; one sister, Ann Green; and three brothers, Robert Ghyers, John Ghyers and Wilburn Collier.

    Golden was united in marriage to James Green, whom preceded her in death. She later married Johnny Ray Rash on Nov. 30, 1973, whom also preceded her in death.

    She retired from Brown Shoe Company after 17 years and was of the Church of Christ faith.

    Mrs. Rash leaves one son, Jimmy Ray Green and his wife Susan, of Steele; two grandsons: Jarrod Green and his wife Leslie and Drew Green and his wife Leslie, all of Steele; one brother, Jimmy Ghyers, of McKenzie, Tenn.; five great-grandchildren: Taryn Gillette, Claira Jae Green, Melena Rae Green, Jaxon Green and Olivia Green.

    Funeral services for Mrs. Rash were held at 2 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 10, 2008 at the Powell Funeral Home Chapel in Steele with Tim Howard officiating.

    Burial was at the Little Prairie Cemetery in Caruthersville.
