Gladys Joyce Maddern married Robert C. Richards. Gladys died January 28, 1950 in Lansing, Michigan, where she and Robert resided at the time. Known to her familoy and friends as Joyce, she graduated from Ishpeming High School in 1943 as an honor student. She was a good singer, and had appeared at high school and civic social gatherings Robert was born 20 January 1925 in Negaunee, Michigan. He was the son of Samuel J. and Alice Muriel (nee Uren) Richards. He was a graduate of Ishpeming High School, Class of 1943. He served in the United States Army during World War II in the Asian-Pacific Theater. Bob Richards owned and operated the Richards Watch Repair Shop in Inshpeming until his retirement in the early 1980's. He was a member of the Ispheming VFAW. Robert died Sunday, 9 June 2002. Joyce and Robert were both buried in the Ishpeming Cemetery. Gladys Joyce and Robert had not children.
