Page 241 - Gideon Macon of Granville County, North Carolina, 20 December 1761 'Being sick & weak'
To my son Harrison Macon 400 acres of land on the North side of Tarr River.
To my son John Macon all that part of my tract of land on both sides of Shocko Creek below the Courthouse Road.
To my son Nathaniel Macon all the remainder part of the above said tract of land on both side of Shocko Creek and above the said Courthouse Road. Likewise to my said son 500 acres of land on both sides of Hobquarter Creek, my black smith tools at the decease of my loving wife Priscilla Macon.
To my son Gideon Macon all my land and plantation whereon I now dwell. If either of my above mentioned sons Harrison, John, Nathaniel, or Gideon should die without (issue) lawfully begotten of then bodies, then the aforementioned tract or tracts of land be equally divided between my said sons that shall be then living.
To my daughter Anne Allstone four Negroes that she has already in her possession Will, Randle, Joe, and (not legible).
To my daughter Salley Macon Negroes Will, Ben, and Dinah.
To Martha Macon Negroes Jacob, Jemmy & Tabb.
To my daughter Mary Macon Negroes Harry, Robin, and Darcus.
To my son Harrison Macon Negro boys Stephen & Terry and Negro wench Nan.
To my son John Macon Negro boys Peter & Gloster and Negro girl Lydea.
To my son Nathaniel Macon Negro boys George and Bobb and Negro girl Lucy. To my Gedion [sic] Macon Sam & Toney and Negro girl Phebe.
To my loving wife Priscilla Macon the use of my mannor (sic) plantation with Negroes Tom, Mingo, Bett, Jenney, Patt, and Aggey and after her decease the said Negroes to be equally divided in quanity and quality between my seven youngest children all my stock and household furniture of what nature or kind so ever. My loving wife shall have and receive the profit of each of my said children's legacies until they arrive to lawful age, to receive them towards the support and maintenance of my said children.
My loving wife Priscilla Macon Executrix and my son in law John Allstone [sic] with William Johnson Executors. Wit: John Clark, J. Parham, Joseph (J) King.

Priscilla Macon qualified as Executrix. John Alston & William Johnson qualified as Executors."
