Thomas1), baptized 23 April 1721 in Milford, Connecticut (Milford First Congregational Church Records, slip index citing 1:45); died 22 September 1791 in the Village and Town Plots Cemeteries, Newtown (Hale 20). … In his will, dated 2 January 1790, Gideon Botsford of Newtown named his wife Meriam, eldest son Amos, daughter Ann Fairman, daughters Bethiah and Annis, sons Gideon, Clement, David, Niram, and Vine; Gideon and Clement are to be executors. Witnesses were Oliver Beers, Truman Beers, and Caleb Baldwin. Eldest son Amos received £5 and oldest daughter Ann Fairman £10 together with what they had already received. The will was proved 10 October 1791 and sons Gideon and Clement qualified as executors. A distribution, dated 25 November 1791, distributes the remaining real estate among 2nd son Amos, 3rd son Clement, 4th son David, 5th son Nirom, 6th son Vine; and the remaining personal estate among 2nd daughter Bethiah Fairchild, wife to Ransford Fairchild, and 3rd daughter Annis Botsford (Danbury Probate District, Connecticut Estate Piles, docket no. 889)."
