  2. There is no record of the birth of Gershom, and Source:Howe, Gilman Bigelow. Genealogy of the Bigelow Family of America, p. 44, identifies his parents based on "Gershom Jr." buying and selling land in Sutton in 1769 and 1783, a place where the parents moved to from Weston before 1733. The known children pretty much cover the time from the parents marriage until they moved to Sutton, so presumably Gershom Jr. was born in Sutton, and as his wife Lydia d. 1827, a. 86, implying a birth about 1741, he typically would have been older.
