Gerret C. Wells, son of Alfred M. and Sara C. Wells, was born July 20, 1875, in Berlin, Wis., and died Oct. 30, 1964, at Riverside, Calif.
In his early teens he was baptized by the Rev. Wardner in Milton Wis. At a later time the family moved to Grand Junction, Iowa, and later to Nortonville, Kan. Another move brought the family to Battle Creek, Mich., where he was married to Hazel Monroe. To this union were born two sons, Willard G. and Donald C. Wells.
He became a member of the Battle Creek Seventh Day Baptist Church, later moving his membership to the sister church, attending regularly until his health failed in recent months. His life was deeply dedicated to the Lord.
He is survived by his wife, Hazel; two sons, Willard and Donald; three grandchildren, of Boulder, Colo.; three nieces and one nephew.
Services were conducted in Riverside by his pastor, the Rev. Alton L. Wheeler, and interment was in the Olivewood Cemetery. A. L. W.
