Gerald L. white, son of the late James Langdale and Catherine (Rorke) White, passed away at the Grey-Bruce Regional Health Centre in Owen Sound on Sunday July 1, 2001 at the age of 90.
Mr. White was employed for many years with the University of Waterloo working in the Department of Coordination and Placement. When he retired at the age of 66 he and his wife returned to the family farm in Heathcote where they enjoyed their retirement.
Mr. White was invited to assist in editing of the histories of Collingwood and Euphrasia Township, which he considered an extension of his respect for the history of the area.
He was predeceased by his wife in 1989 and continued to reside at the farm in Heathcote area until his illness and death.
He is survived by his sons <living> White, with whom he resided in Heathcote, and <living> White.
A private family service of remembrance and scattering of Mr. White's cremated remains will take place at a later date.
Arrangements were entrusted to the Ferguson Funeral Home, The Valley Chapel, in Thornbury.
