George Wheatley was baptised on 28th July 1872 at Wheathampstead in Hertfordshire, son of Mary Ann Wheatley, formerly Wheeler, and her husband George Wheatley. He appears in the 1881 census living with his maternal grandparents at The Folly, a hamlet in the west of the parish of Wheathampstead. He has yet to be traced after 1881.
